Biography

Justice (R) Mian Nisar Ahmad was a distinguished Pakistani jurist and a member of the Lahore High Court whose life was marked by a deep commitment to law, justice, and constitutional principles. Born in Lahore on 1 August 1930, he entered the legal profession at a time when Pakistan’s judicial and constitutional institutions were still developing. Through his years as a lawyer and later as a judge, he earned recognition for his integrity, independence, and devotion to the rule of law.

Justice Mian Nisar Ahmad was elevated to the Lahore High Court on 11th July 1979. His tenure on the Bench, although relatively brief, came during a particularly significant period in Pakistan’s constitutional history.

Beyond his judicial office, Justice Mian Nisar Ahmad was respected within the legal fraternity as a senior member of the profession. His career represented the values of judicial independence, professional integrity, and adherence to principle. Justice Mian Nisar Ahmad passed away on 8th September 2011.
